April 28th, 2011

Can you believe it - only about 4 more weeks left until Summer Camp starts!  AND as we are getting closer to the big kick off date (June 5th), surprises for the upcoming summer camp season are starting to be revealed!  The most recent is ...."The Chair" may be returning to ITC this summer!!  If you are familiar with "The Chair," now is your chance to tell new Campers (and new counselors) what this is!  Please share with all of us what "The Chair" is and your fond memories of it!!  We would love to hear from you!!

Campers remeber about the chair. It was a chair outside hooked up with a hose outside the screen house and they had ice cold water when they turn it on, the person got soaked. WE LOVE IT! They had super chair, where they put toilet paper around your head and will dumped root-bear lake water then they turn on the regular chair. then they turn it on. Thats all i can remeber, so come on people, post some more comments about our camp or they wont bring it back.

From what I have heard "The Chair" is for counselors, right? And if they goof up or 'break a rule' then they have to sit in it, right?

If anyone has photos of "The Chair," please email them to me so I can post them for others to see this "Chair" in action!

Here's how it worked:
Campers could "goofy gripe" counselors. At lunch, the goofy gripes would be read to everyone. The "offending counselor" would have to spin The Wheel of Justice. "The Chair" was always the most popular, and we'd head out right after lunch to watch the offenders get soaked.

Have fun :)
