Spring into sharing 60 memories!
March 20th, 2012
Happy first day of Spring! As we look around Camp, signs of new life are everywhere! The trees, plants and flowers are starting to sprout, and the birds are merrily chirping. Individuals are racing on the Amtryke bikes around the track while laughing as mentors are trying to keep up! How sweet are the signs of Spring after the Winter season!
For 60 years, Spring has been a very exciting and busy time for us at Indian Trails Camp. We are anxiously planning for the upcoming Summer Camp season. Recruiting enthusiastic staff, booking rockin’ DJ’s and bands, checking out different programming and much, much more! We are also waxing floors, fixing lights, painting and other not so much fun work. But all of the preparations and work being done is worth it – we owe it to our Campers! We want each Camper’s experience to be special and for them to go home knowing that they will always have friends at Indian Trails Camp!
This summer we are continuing to offer seven Summer Camp sessions along with Day Camp. With two sessions already full (session #4 and #5), we are very excited and looking forward to another successful Summer Camp season! With much gratitude to our dedicated staff and wonderful Campers, we know it is possible to make our 60th summer the most memorable one yet!
In light of our 60th summer, we are asking you to please take a moment to share with us your favorite memory of Camp from the past 60 years. Whether you are a current Camper, a past staff or a parent who has a child benefitting from Camp – we want to hear from you! Whether it is singing a favorite Camp song, laughing at a goofy gripe or dancing with your cabin mates during a talent show – we want to hear from you! Our goal is to get at least 60 memories for the past 60 years! We can’t wait to hear from you!

the summer between 7th and 8th grade, I had a rite of passage that every girl experiences sooner or later....in the game room I passed many hours playing the awesome arcade versions of space invaders, Ms Pacman and to this day because of camp I have a serious love of air hockey.... well it was also in that game room that a boy who shall remain nameless...kissed me for the very first time!!

During my 2nd summer at Camp, I was given a refreshing soda pop to enjoy. As I innocently walked through the lodge with the gift giver, people pointed out that I was breaking the "no soda pop in the dining hall" rule and had to spin the Wheel of Shame. As I looked around it was unavoidable - I had to face the consequences of my actions! I could not hide as the person that gave me the soda pop did! I embarassing started to sing a song.. until ears started to bleed and I was booed off the "stage." To this day I remember the embarassment, but at the same time always remember that Camp is about having fun with friends. Friends that you can connect with. Friends that you can count on. Friends for a life time!

I have started going to ITC since 2000, back when I was only a kid. The dances, the friendships, and the paddle boats. I have remained friends with many of the people I met through camp. I'm starting to count down to this years Summer camp....8 weeks to go.

ITC brings sunshine to the winter blues!
December 6th, 2011
Although the snow has not arrived to stay here in West Michigan, we are expecting a cold winter ahead! With thoughts of wearing heavy winter coats, fuzzy mittens and hats while drinking our hot cocoa, we are dreaming of summer days at Indian Trails Camp! We are looking forward to splashing in the indoor pool, paddle boating on Root Beer Lake, doing arts and crafts in Ojibway Lodge! And who could forget singing songs at the campfire while roasting marshmallows, and counselors being goofy griped to sit in "The Chair!" We can't wait to build more fond memories with campers during the summer of 2012!
We are pleased to inform you that in the next month the 2012 Summer Camp application will be available on-line! Yes, your winter blues will be melted away with happy thoughts of summer camp so stayed tuned and visit this website again for the application!
