Day Camp
Indian Trails is a remarkable facility that brings adaptive recreation to the lives of each camper. It is simple in theory, but daunting in task. Indian Trails offers a barrier-free camp setting in which those with disabilities can participate in all manner of activities the outside world is ill-equipped to provide. It is a place filled with fun, recreation, friendship and acceptance.
By offering Day Camp during the summer season, Indian Trails Camp is able to increase its service to children with disabilities who want to be able to experience the joy of camp but may not be ready to stay overnight for a full week.
Indian Trails accepts campers with a wide range of physical and/ or developmental disabilities. Inclusion and mainstreaming play key roles in making campers feel a part of things.
Day Camp is filled with a variety of activities such as canoeing, arts & crafts, swimming, music, field games, ropes challenge, etc. where you can build relationships and increase inner strength in a fun, recreational environment in the natural setting along Root Beer Lake.
Day Camp is for individuals from 5 to 26 years old and program participants are expected to have their own transportation. Day campers will be provided with breakfast and lunch meals as well as an afternoon snack.
Registration is on a day to day basis.
